Princeton Review, Colleges That Create Futures



Marist is again one of a small group of schools included in the 2nd edition of The Princeton Review's  Colleges That Create Futures: 50 Schools That Launch Careers By Going Beyond the Classroom, along with such top schools as Duke, Stanford, and Columbia. The Princeton Review cited Marist's leadership development, internship opportunities, campus work opportunities, such as the Marist Poll, and career development resources.

Marist is again one of the nation's best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. Marist is featured in The Best 382 Colleges 2018, the fifteenth-consecutive year it has been recognized in this respected annual college guide.


Marist is one of Money Magazine's  'Best Colleges' in the nation, defined as the 706 four-year U.S. colleges and universities that deliver the most value—that is, a great education, at an affordable price, that prepares students for rewarding careers.

U.S News World Report ranks Marist the 9th Best College in the Regional Universities (North) classification.

The guide's 'Best Online Education Programs' ranks Marist’s BA/BS in Professional Studies 48th in the nation. Marist is 50th on the list of the nation's best online graduate business programs, and its online MBA is ranked 52nd.


For the eleventh consecutive year, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance has included Marist on its list of the country’s 'Best Values in Private Colleges', where the College is ranked 73rd.



Forbes magazine ranks Marist 313th out of 660 on its list of 'America's Top Colleges'.

Military Friendly Schools 2017


Marist has been named a Military Friendly School by Victory Media, which publishes G.I. JobsSTEM JobsSM, and Military Spouse. First published in 2009, the list of Military Friendly Schools is provided to service members and their families, helping them select the best college, university, or trade school to receive the education and training needed to pursue a civilian career.

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs recently identified Marist as a 'U.S. Student Top Producer' (click on 'Master's Colleges & Universities'), making it one of the U.S. colleges and universities that produced the most 2015-2016 Fulbright U.S. Students. 

Open Doors 2016


Marist College is again among the nation’s leading colleges and universities for international education, according to the 2016 Open Doors Report from the Institute of International Education. For the 2014-15 academic year, Marist ranked nationally among Master’s Colleges & Universities:

        • 3rdfor the number of students engaged in semester study abroad
        • 8th for the number of students engaged in long-term study abroad (full academic year)
        • 16th for the total number of students participating in study abroad programs
        • 23rd for the rate of undergraduate participation in study abroad programs.

Marist has the 23rd best undergraduate accounting program in the nation, according to the 2016 'Best Bachelor’s In Accounting Programs' rankings from

Bloomberg Businessweek rankings

The undergraduate Business Program at Marist College’s School of Management was included for the first time in the 2016 Bloomberg Businessweek Best Undergraduate Business Schools rankings. With an overall national rank of 108, the program is now ranked 25th among all private undergraduate business schools in the Northeast.

Marist has earned the 28th spot on The Princeton Review's list of Top Schools for Game Design. Game Design at Marist is a joint program between the School of Communication & the Arts and the School of Computer Science & Mathematics.
